Book Summary
To be honest the book was a two day read for me. It is longer in text but it was just not my kind of book. A very quick summary of it would be a young Amish boy discovers life. The book described this young boy and his lifestyle, which was very intriguing in the 1940’s, there just weren’t books out there that highlighted different cultures. But in today’s Book World we see diversity all over. Perhaps that is why this book was not that impressive to me. Oh well, can’t love them all. I do however respect it! For a women to go against the grain in the 40’s, I have to be a fan of that! Okay to speak of the illustrations, they are realistic and detailed. They are pen and ink as well as colorful. An innocent sweet young boy, Yonie, greets you on the cover of the book, while on the back of the book we see the back of Yonie on the same horse! Clever!
Final Thoughts:

2. Would I recommend it to others to search out and take a look at? Probably Not
3. Would I spend my hard earned money on the book? No
4. Where did I get the book? Pierce County Library
